Beauty & Skincare Haul | Superdrug & The Body Shop

Tanya Burr Everyday Flutter Lashes
I keep seeing these raved about on YouTube, so when I spotted them in Superdrug, I had to grab a pair. They are rather pricey though (£5.50) for a someone who only buys false lashes from primark!

Nivea Soft Moituriser
This is my favourite moisturiser during the winter. The cold weather always gives me dry patches and this is the only thing that will get rid of them. Gotta love the price tag too - £4.25 for that huge pot, and a little goes a long way!

Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 2
I'm a real sucker for nude palettes and for £4 (!!) I couldn't say no to this Naked palette dupe. Review coming soon.

Superdrug Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask
Never tried one of these fabric masks before, I'm intrigued.

Essie Nail Polishes in Chinchilly & Wicked
My first ever Essie polishes and now I finally get the hype - these are great! Full review coming soon.

Bourjois Colourband Eyeshadow & Liner Stick
I think this is a new Bourjois product, they seemed to be pushing it in Superdrug and I just fell in love with the shade. Review soon.

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Velvet Sticks in Universal and Poppy Nude
I saw the Universal stick last week in this post and was amazed - it sounds like magic! So of course I grabbed it as soon as I could, and one in nude too because why not? Haha, full review of these coming soon!

Mini Primark Haul

So I popped into my local Primark the other day and, as always, ended up spending money. Quite happy with what I picked up though, and thought you guys might like to see too:

White Midi Skirt - £10
This lightweight, floaty skirt is a great staple. It's sheer with a mini-length opaque white liner, and sits right on your waist, closing with a concealed zipper at the back. It would be lovely to wear during the day or even better dressed up with heels for a cocktail night with the girls. I think its super chic and makes a welcome change to the more popular tight-fitting, pencil midi skirts.

Light Wash Stretch Skinny Jeans - £11
Now, I'm not usually a jeans girl, I'm much more of a leggings girl, however, I wanted to see if I could find some jeans which would rival the heavenly comfort of leggings and these are pretty darn close. They are Primark's ultra soft, super stretch variety. I chose the light denim colour in a size 8 with 30" leg.

Burgundy Bag - £8
I love this bag! It's a perfect size (small but not too small) and I think the push-lock on the front and the little handle on top give it a high-quality, vintage look. It's a gorgeous, rich browny-burgundy colour and it comes with a long adjustable strap which makes it easier to carry around. Underneath the front flap there is a little pocket, and then inside the main body of the bag, there are two small inner pouches and a discreet zipped pocket. Definitely going to be using this as we go into autumn. If you're not a fan of this colour, the store also had the same style in black and a lovely dark forest green.

Hope you like my purchases! Have any of you visited Primark recently?

Mini Haul: Primark, Superdrug & Wilkos

Primark

Large Black Structured Bag - £12
I love Primark's bags, i literally think they have a bag for your every need! I bought this one mainly to use as a uni bag. I wanted it to be structured so that my folders and books would stay straight instead of folding over and getting all messed up like they would in my old 'floppy' bag. Also i wanted it to be big enough for all my A4 folders, while having enough depth for my pencil case, purse, umbrella and all the other crap i keep in there! Might do a 'what's in my bag' post at some point :) last but not least, this bag has multiple pockets - an instant deal maker for me! I love having loads of pockets of all sizes to put my things in aha

Black Jeans - £11
I live in leggings, like constantly. I have about 10 different pairs - some thicker, some shiny, some velvety, some 3/4 length, some patterned... it's a bit of an addiction of mine. So, i thought it was about time I tried jeans again. Personally, after wearing leggings for the past 3 years, i find jeans super uncomfortable, but i was pleasantly surprised with these - they're lovely and soft and stretchy, which also helps them make it over my bum :')

Superdrug

Maybelline Great Lash & Big Eyes Mascaras
I have no excuse for these... purely unnecessary, especially since i already had a mascara that was relatively new. I'm so easily tempted! aha, saying that though, i do love both of these! Especially the Great Lash, i'll have to review it at some point - I'm really impressed with the quality considering it's only a fiver!

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in 35 - On & On Bronze
I've wanted to try one of these for ages and it was 3 for 2 on maybelline sooo... yeah, it happened. But, I do absolutely love this colour, and have been wearing it practically every day since i got it! Review coming soon :)

Wilkos (Wilkinsons)

I literally love wilkos aha it has so much good stuff for cheap prices - beauty, home wear, stationary, garden stuff. Whatever you're looking for, wilkos probably sells it. You can find it online here. It saddens me that there isn't one in Birmingham, but there is one in Nottingham, so i had to pop in while visiting my boyfriend last weekend.
The first thing i picked up were some adorable, little, neon-coloured post-it notes - they're the cutest thing and perfect for jotting things down before you forget them (i'm very forgetful). Plus they make my desk look pretty. They were only £1 too!
Secondly, i wanted to get a lunch box because i need to start taking packed lunches to uni, i spend wayyy too much money in the canteen. I spotted this awesome fold out one! It's so cool (or maybe i'm just easily impressed? You tell me), it has a top and bottom compartment and then the bottom one is split in half. It's perfect for various snacks that can keep you going all day. They had them in blue, green or pink for £3.

Hope you like what i bought! Sorry for being a bit m.i.a. recently, hopefully be back to more regular posting from now on :)

Collective Haul - Primark, H&M, Superdrug & more

So, i've done it again. I don't mean to, it somehow just seems to happen! Anyway, i'm pretty pleased with my purchases so i can't complain too much :)

First of all, i made another trip to Primark, i really need to stop going in there because i always find so much that i want. I went back in for a basic khaki tee from the men's section. My boyfriend had bought it a couple of weeks ago, and i wanted one too, as i love the colour and it's one of those t shirts i'll be able to get a lot of wear out of. I'm also a sucker for roll sleeves. While there i spotted a rather bright, slightly sheer, crop top which i completely fell in love with! Not everyone's cup of tea i know, but i can't wait to wear it in summer. Lastly, i found some lovely statement collar tips.
Crop Top - £6 // Khaki Tee - £4 // Collar Tips - £1.50
I visited Nottingham last weekend to see my boyfriend, and I always love doing a bit of shopping while i'm up there as they have some really nice vintage shops. I found a new one this time called Backlash on Market Street, where i picked up a gorgeous cream cable knit jumper for just £12.99! I've wanted a jumper like this for years, but have never bought one because they're always normally over £20. I was contemplating getting the one with elbow patches from Primark but that was £14, and this is much nicer, so i'm feeling rather smug. For anyone in the Nottingham area, Backlash had a whole huge rack full of jumpers like this, all for £12.99 so definitely go check them out! It's really long but i prefer wearing it tucked under, like in the photo below.

Finally, i visited H&M because i wanted one of their basic black bodycon skirts. I also had a look at the jewllwery while in there and - hallelujah - i finally found a gorgeous spiky necklace! 2 of them in this case! I've been after a statement/collar/triangle/spiky necklace for literally a year and i was so happy when i spotted these. They are two separate necklaces sold together. The first is shorter with a thick chain and with 7 small triangles equally spaced across the front. The second one is longer with a much thinner double chain. On the slightly longer of the two chains there are 11 inch long spikes.
Two Gold Statement Necklaces - £6.99 // Basic Skirt - £3.99

The other day, i was in poundland, on the hunt for cheap paint brushes, and i made an amazing discovery - they sell dove shampoos! I love the dove shampoos and conditioners, i think they're such good quality and my hair seems to love them too. I couldn't believe i could get them for a pound each! So i picked up a couple I haven't tried before - the volume boost shampoo, and the nourishing oil care conditioner. I always tend to by mismatching shampoo and conditioner since my roots and ends have totally different needs. Full review on those coming soon!
I also popped into Superdrug while in Nottingham as i was on the hunt for a liquid cleanser. After much deliberation (and a large amount of very bored and annoyed sighing from my boyfriend) i settled on the Garnier Fresh Essentials cleanser with Grape extract. I liked what it promised on the back, and i tired it on the back of my hand and it smelt amazing and left my skin feeling so soft. I really like it so far - full review on that coming up too :)
Dove Shampoo & Conditioner - £1 each // Garnier Cleanser - £1.50

Topshop, Primark & Asos Haul

So, even though I'm meant to be saving money, over the last 2 weeks my bank balance has taken some pretty bad clothing-induced injuries.

The Asos sale was the first to ensnare me. I managed to pick up a this lovely pair of high waisted 'Denim Knicker Shorts in Indigo' for £5. Now, by the word 'knicker' i knew they were gonna be skimpy, but i didn't realise just quite how skimpy until i tried them on - my poor bottom was hardly covered :( wayy to much bum for public viewing in my opinion. So those will be going back.
Next up i made the mistake of going into Topshop and Primark while having one of those "i'm gonna treat myself to things i can't really afford" type days.
I picked up two T-shirts from Topshop, and a top, skirt and pair of shoes (oh dear) from Primark.
Primark Maxi Skirt - £12  // Topshop LA Tee - £18 // Topshop Geek Tee - £16 // Primark Shoulder Spikes Tee - £5
The maxi skirt is one of those that is sheer material with a mini skirt sewn in underneath. It feels really soft and i think the length is pretty good (i'm 5'6"). The only thing I would say is that the sizing is off - I'd recommend getting a size bigger than you usually would. The white top is true to size, reaches to just below bum level and is also really soft. However I will be keeping an eye on the spikes during washing and drying, etc. as they don't feel particularly secure.
I love my Topshop LA and Geek Tees. The material on both of them feels really good quality and they both have thick, rolled sleeves. The LA one also comes down to just below bum level.

Last but not least are my gorgeous Primark wedges. I was actually scouring the shoe section for some practical flat boots, but these caught my eye and once i'd tried them on i had to have them! They're the perfect height and the shape is really flattering, plus they're surprisingly comfy.
Primark Curve Wedges - £16
I decided to include a little video for you to show you how all the things look on. To get an idea of sizing, the tops and shorts are a size 8 while the skirt is a size 10.
Apologies in advance for my messy room, dirty mirror and rather awkward poses.
